This art gallery was a big influence on my design, especially the way the gallery can be lit a night, to light a path through the garden, and animate the building.

This sketch was probably the major inspiring image for the building, and I continued to work over this initial design into the final building.

Early Sketches

These were some of my first concept sketches, just tossing around ideas of basic shape, circulation etc. I was thinking of the kind of art to be displayed (street art) and using that to influence and inspire my early designs.
